Got to know of this handy utility for Windows called OmniHide. It basically allows you to hide files within other files. I have tried it to:

• Hide files inside avi video file
• Hide files inside pdf document
• Hide files inside jpeg, png image files
• Hide files inside mp3 music files

It has actually worked for all the above cases. What the software does is that it takes the file to be hidden and puts it inside the mask file you specify. Then your mask file output will contain the hidden file too within it. It was just a 3 second job to hide a PDF within a PNG as a trial.  The output was a PDF and worked just as normal. You can then give the password and use the “Recover File” tab to get back the original file.

Downloading Picasa Albums or Photos

You can download entire albums and individual photos onto your computer from Picasa Web Albums.

What you need to download entire Picasa Album

• Picasa must be installed on your computer. Download Here.
• The album owner must enable ‘Allow any visitor to download my photos‘ on the Privacy and Permissions tab of the Settings page. Or you are the owner of Picasa Web Album.
• Picasa Web Album account. Sign up here.

To Download an entire album:

1. From Picasa web album, click the album you’d like to download.

2. From the Download menu above your photos, select Download to Picasa.
3. In Picasa, if you’re not signed in to your Google Account for Picasa Web Albums, you’ll be prompted to do so.

4. In the window that appears, click the Download button.

The downloaded albums photos could be found in the ‘Downloaded Albums’ collection. For Windows, they locate under “My Documents\My Pictures\Downloaded Albums“.

You could also download an individual photo:

1. While viewing the photo you’d like to download, click the Download button above the photo.

2. Select Download Photo.

3. In the window that appears, select Save File.

4. After select save folder, click OK.

You can follow this tutorial to burn Picasa photo to DVD and enjoy Picasa photos on TV using DVD player.

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

This message was plaguing blogulate two days back. Although it’s gone now, I was unsure what was happening as blogulate hardly even reached 10% of the 1500GB monthly bandwidth.
Curious to know what was happening, I mailed the Customer Support. This was their reply:

Thank you for contacting Online Support. Unfortunately I am unable to duplicate the issue you are reporting. Based on the error, the problem may be related to the number of visitors on the site. A maximum of 50 connections can be supported on Linux hosting accounts. If that amount is exceeded you may receive such an error. Unfortunately the only way to alleviate such a problem is with a dedicated or virtual dedicated server.

Please let us know if we can help you in any other way.

It seems that GoDaddy’s max. number of simultaneous connections at any time is 50 for the Linux Hosting account.
This is sort of bad as most browsers use pipelined simultaneous requests and 10 users accessing your site can easily take 50 simultaneous connections.
It would have been been better if the 51th connection wait for a connection to terminate and then connect. However, the visitor just gets a 503 Error message. If it is a visitor making his way to your site from a Search Engine, it would appear to him as if the site was down as the bandwidth had exceeded and he’d just go away w.o retrying.
However, blogulate.com has had the same amount of traffic for the past 2 days and the error never re-occurred.
