    75% increase in number of ads displayed on Google

    AdGooroo reports a significant increase in ads displayed per keyword on Google. In Q4, Google is serving 3.82 ads per keyword, which is about 50% more than it served during Q3. During the month of November, Google served an average of 4.38 ads per keyword, a 75% increase over its Q3 average.

    Interactive Google Adsense Ads

    This is the first time I have seen an Interactive JS ad. (not flash) on the Google Adsense Network. The IFRAME source was ads.gmodules.com instead of the normal pagead2.googlesyndication.com.  An animated demo of the interactive ad had been shown below.

    New look Google Analytics

    It seems that Google Analytics has made slight changes to it’s styling. The main layout remains the same..

    The menu has been made a bit more appealing but all the features and functionality remains the same.

    This is only a slight improvement over the older interface but it sure looks better than the previous.

    Comscore as well as Nielsen Netratings estimated Google’s U.S. search engine market share at more than 60% in July 08. Google now runs more than three times the numbers of searches of its closest rival and more than twice the searches of Yahoo and Microsoft combined.

    Google to set up Offshore Data Centers

    So, what exactly is the giant upto now ? It’s “computer navy” – a set of supercomputers necessary to operate its Internet search engines on barges anchored up to 11km offshore!
