Samsung has announced a plan to showcase its latest LCD TV at SID 2008. Claiming to be the industry’s first 82-inch LCD TV panel, the display offers an ultra-definition resolution of 3840×2160 pixels.
It has a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen has the ability to display ultra-definition (UD) resolution at 120 fps. Thus, it can reduce the blur of the image that runs at 60Hz. In order to enhance the true color saturation to 150 percent, a red/green/blue LED backlight is installed.

The Guinness World Record for the world’s lightest mobile phone has been awarded to modu for its tiny and sophisticated mobile phone.The modu weighs 40.1 g with a dimension of 72.1 mm x 37.6 mm x 7.8 mm

modu is claimed to be the world’s first modular mobile phone. The tiny, sleek mobile phone can be slipped into a wide variety of modu jackets - stylishly designed phone enclosures. The modu phone is small, light, compact, superbly designed and minimalist, whilst offering all the functions and capabilities of a normal-sized.
Slysoft says the new version of its AnyDVD will allow users to make “backup security copies” of high definition movies available in blu ray discs.

The claim is a blow to Sony which developed the Blu-ray format. The discs are protected by an anti-piracy system called BD+. When it launched in 2007, developers boasted it would not be cracked for 10 years. Sony however failed to comment on the issue.
Google and Dell are on the point of launching a new mobile phone to run on the Android operating system, probably at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona that’s going on at the moment. Dell has also recently acquired Alienware, the trendiest tech-company in the world.

Lenovo Super slim Thinkpad X300 video review

A new technology from Japan makes the latest HD movies look simply archaic. Last week, engineers at NHK’s (Nippon Hoso Kyokai) Science and Technical Research Laboratories demonstrated Super Hi-Vision technology capable of a 7680×4320 resolution.

At a resolution of 7680×4320, over 33 million pixels make the image - a 16 times jump from the resolution of a 1080p image. It could be approximated by placing 16 of today’s best HDTVs together.
