Better organize your email with new colored labels. Just click the color swatch next to each label to assign a color. PS: Feature works only with IE7 and FF2 and above.

I live in company with a body, a silent companion, exacting and eternal.
@matt!
Thatz a great idea… I used to do the same stuff to get 1GB mailbox instead of 250MB for Hotmail
Hi Martin,
you have to have the language setting to ‘English (US)’. Save the change, shut down, re-open and they will appear.
You’ll then be running the US version of Gmail with ‘color’ labels
Matt you’re not alone. I can’t get coloured labels in the UK either.
am on OS X 10.4.10, Firefox 2.0.0.11 and i don’t get the coloured label option.
Is it because I’m Australian?
My friend in Canada can do it
Would be much more interesting/useful to label contacts, not only messages. Labelling all work-related, family-related, etc-related contacts would mark all work related mail with one label & color. Contact groups are not that useful – they can’t be used with filtering. What do you think?
