Thatz a great idea… I used to do the same stuff to get 1GB mailbox instead of 250MB for Hotmail πŸ˜€

    Hi Martin,

you have to have the language setting to 'English (US)'. Save the change, shut down, re-open and they will appear.

You'll then be running the US version of Gmail with 'color' labels πŸ˜€

Matt you're not alone. I can't get coloured labels in the UK either.

am on OS X 10.4.10, Firefox 2.0.0.11 and i don't get the coloured label option.

    Is it because I'm Australian?

My friend in Canada can do it πŸ™

Would be much more interesting/useful to label contacts, not only messages. Labelling all work-related, family-related, etc-related contacts would mark all work related mail with one label & color. Contact groups are not that useful – they can't be used with filtering. What do you think?
