True, the annual subscription costs for XBOX Live is just 50$. But Bloomberg estimates 12.5 million users who pay for Xbox Live yearly so if we calculate 50 X 12,5000000 ~ $625 million!

Dennis Durkin from Microsoft said sales of online downloadable content and extras have also increased the amount of money that they are making. In his statement he said that they make around $600 million dollars from these “extra costs”

Microsoft offers a nag-free 90-day trial version of the new Visual Studio 2008 for developers interested in the new technology. Developers would have to download the ISOs and install the software. The file sizes ranges from 1-4 GB. Unfortunately, MS does not provide the trial on DVDs like it did for the 90 day trial version of Visual Studio 2005.
